Goal

To make the highest-resolution Met images available to the world, hosted on IPFS (for storage interoperability and robustness) and marked up with IIIF (for image interoperability and flexibility).

Process

1. Catalog of high-res PD images over 100Mpx, noting which ones are not currently available online

2. Post these images to IPFS, pin to a node or two

3. Set up an IIIF interface to let viewers browse the images.

4. Post versions of the images to Wikimedia Commons (whole image + tiles)

5. Integrate w/ Commons development of IIIF browsers.
